Defense Logistics Agency Business System Modernization (DLA BSM) and the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Programs

DLA’s strategic plan calls for the replacement of aging mission-critical legacy systems. The BSM program presents a prime example of the challenges faced by major government organizations that are undertaking fundamental revisions in how they do business, chiefly by implementing commercial best practices through the use of Commercial Off-the-Shelf software and hardware. NewVectors has been a participant in the success of these large-scale implementation programs from the beginning in 1998. NewVectors is fully integrated into every aspect of the BSM program management. NewVectors personnel work as part of the program office staff and participate in integrated product teams (IPTs) to perform expert life-cycle program management. Our program management support includes life-cycle management and acquisition processes, including task management and quality assurance, cost and economic analysis, business process analysis and functional requirements development, acquisition planning, technical architecture evaluation, risk management plan development, communication strategy and marketing plan development, and continuous budgeting support.
